Zabrina Fernandez, born on November 17, 1979, is a multifaceted Malaysian figure, renowned as a television producer, director, writer, entrepreneur, and a celebrated contestant on "The Amazing Race Asia." She emerged as the first winner of this reality show's Asian franchise. Her career in television has been prolific, with notable work at Ntv7 and Channel V, and her involvement in acclaimed programs like "The Amazing Race Asia" (from season 2 onwards), "The Apprentice Asia," and "The Amazing Race Australia Season 1," which won an International Emmy.

Zabrina's journey in the world of filmmaking was inspired by her mother, who transitioned from a teaching career to become a TV writer, producer, and director. This exposure to the filmmaking world at a young age deeply influenced Zabrina. Her break in television came through an opportunity provided by Joanne de Rozario. Throughout her career, Zabrina has filmed in over 25 countries, embracing unique experiences and interactions with diverse cultures and locations.

She faced one of her most significant challenges while co-directing and writing her debut feature-length film "Lahzeye Bi Payan," shot almost entirely in Iran, covering 42 locations in 14 days, all while dealing with morning sickness during her first trimester of pregnancy.

In addition to her professional achievements, Zabrina is an adjunct professor at Taylor's University since July 2020. She enjoys traveling and has expressed a deep connection with various countries for their unique attributes, such as Bhutan for its serene environment, India for its vibrant energy and diverse experiences, and New York for its lively art scene.
